The goal of the proposed project is to develop and evaluate processes, tools and technologies that enable software developers to effectively and efficiently create immersive control centers. The team envisions that such control centers need to analyze large amounts of real-time streaming data and create immersive visualizations and interactions for operators in such control rooms. Concretely, the team is looking into pipeline control centers, electricity grid control rooms, or, in general, using immersive technologies to interact with the IoT. These visualizations will be connected to streaming data sources for real-time updates. The team will then create workspaces in AR/VR/MR that allows operators to interact with the systems that they are controlling.
