The Courage Center at the Glenrose Rehabilitation\u00a0Hospital in Edmonton is a new facility where rehabilitation therapy\u00a0and new technologies, including robotics, are used together to improve\u00a0therapy outcomes for patients and their family. Our project is a\u00a0collaboration between the Glenrose and the Department of Computing\u00a0Science at the University of Alberta. \u00a0We have installed an autonomous\u00a0and mobile robot whose behavior engages and entertains people\u00a0visiting the Courage center. \u00a0 The project&#8217;s next step is to deploy\u00a0richer forms of interactive and adaptive behavior. \u00a0This robot will\u00a0help investigating the medical, technological, and social challenges\u00a0in robot rehabilitation therapy.
