The Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC) will be held from August 15th to the 18th of 2018, hosted at the University of Alberta.

The CUPC is the largest physics conferences in North America, organized by undergraduate students for undergraduate students. As a non-profit event, the CUPC sees approximately 300 attendees annually and aims to showcase undergraduate physics research. Participants will be able to network with the industry, faculty, and each other while touring University of Alberta laboratories working on cutting-edge research. During the conference, the CUPC 2018 features opportunities for individuals from all across Canada to share their research through oral and poster presentations, attend plenary lectures given by prominent speakers, and tour the facilities that the University of Alberta has to offer. There will also be a graduate fair to encourage engagement among all levels of the physics community.

While the CUPC enables students to learn more about their interests beyond the lecture theatre, this year has an additional focus on women in physics and STEM careers, and we urge traditionally underrepresented members from all physics and physics-related departments to attend the 2018 Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference.

Students do not need to apply to present a talk or poster, but we eagerly welcome all presenters and speakers.
