The project will continue the evaluation and exploration of core-shell star block copolymers as anti-fouling coatings on phase inversion and electrospun membranes for water use, conservation, efficiency, productivity, and quality protection.  The new membrane process has the potential to increase water recovery, improve steam quality, decrease GHG emissions and increase the removal of contaminants thus reducing capital and operating costs in oil sands energy projects.
